Burnt Barn is a premium bourbon born from the aftermath of the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise, California. Rooted in the heart of Paradise, the brand pays tribute to the enduring strength of a community and the rebirth of a town shaped by one of California’s most destructive wildfires. Known as a “Bourbon of Resilience,” Burnt Barn transforms a story of devastation into one of renewal, perseverance, and craft.

Chad Michael Studio developed the branding, packaging design, and custom bottle design for Burnt Barn Bourbon. The fully bespoke glass bottle draws inspiration from the scorched earth upon which the distillery was built, with a sculpted, textural base finished in a matte black decoration that fades upward into smooth, clear glass and culminates in a custom black faux wood-grain closure. Together, these details translate the brand’s history into a refined piece of spirits packaging.

From brand strategy through production guidance, every element was designed to honor Paradise without allowing tragedy to define it. The result is a premium bourbon package that captures fire through an artful lens, balancing strength with refinement and transforming the story of what came before into a symbol of what can emerge after.
